Another Expert Agrees With Dark Comet Theory

Astronomer David Asher (from Armagh University) has agreed with Bill Napier and Janaki Wickramasinghe (Cardiff University) that “dark comets” are real and dangerous.
The following quotes are from a paper by Napier and Asher published in Astronomy & Geophysics.

We know that about one bright comet (of absolute magnitude as bright as 7, comparable to Halley’s Comet) arrives in the visibility zone (perihelion q<5AU, say) each year from the Oort cloud. It seems to be securely established that ~1–2% of these are captured into Halleytype (HT) orbits. The dynamical lifetime of a body in such an orbit can be estimated, from which the expected number of HT comets is perhaps ~3000. The actual number of active HT comets is ~25. This discrepancy of at least two powers of 10 in the expected impact rate from comets as deduced from this theoretical argument on the one hand, and observations on the other, is …

These all began circa 3114 BC

Many, many people have tried to work out why the ancient Mayan Long Count calendar ends in 2012. Relatively few people have investigated why it began in 3114 BC. This date is long before the existence of the Maya, and even the Olmec.

So what sorts of things were happening around the date of 3114 BC?

  • In Egypt the Pharoanic age began with Narmer, (aka Menes – the Scorpion King), who became ruler at roughly 3100 BC. He unified Egypt.
  • The current age of the Hindu religion, Kali Yuga, began in 3102 BC.
  • 3100 BC is when the first stage of Stonehenge was constructed, as well as the first stage of Newgrange. And the Tarxien Temples of Malta were also built at the same time.

Unifying these events is the longevity of the ages and constructions. The Pharoanic Age lasted 3000 years, and the Mayan & Hindu ages are still running, and still known. All three temple complexes mentioned were the largest and most remarkable ever made in each country – and they are still standing.

They were all clearly meant to last, and they did.

Given that much earlier megalithic structures existed in Malta, here’s an addition to my Mysterious Elders hypothesis:

  • An original home for the Elders was Malta
  • A massive solar storm occurred in 3114 BC
  • The Elders built the Tarxien Temples in Malta, and also visited Ireland and England where they convinced locals to help them build Stonehenge and Newgrange
  • The use of the temples as aurora observatories dwindled with time, inspiring the Elders to go farther afield and cause the development of entire civilizations to support the observations
  • Once sufficient data was obtained, they created the Long Count calendar – it begins with a massive solar storm and ends with a prediction of the same
