Articles in War
I opened this news item with my skeptical hat on, given that there are so many parameters that could be used. However, it looks pretty legit*. Climate change (regardless of what is causing it) means more violence – yet another reason to be a prepper and/or shift away from highly populated areas.
The research, which was published in Science, examined 60 previous studies from all major regions of the globe. The results suggest that changes such as drought, flood and high temperatures strongly correlate with spikes in conflict.
Researchers noted examples including increased domestic violence in India and Australia, assaults and murders in the United States and Tanzania, ethnic violence in Europe and South Asia, land invasions in Brazil, police violence in the Netherlands and civil conflicts throughout the tropics.
The biggest culprit: higher temperatures. Out of 27 modern societies studied, all 27 showed a positive relationship between higher temperatures and violence.

I rarely mention terrorism here, but it is within the realm of Armageddon. Many mad religious folk are actively wishing for the end times to begin, so that they may rise up to Heaven. Some have decided that they can cause it to begin, by building a third temple on Temple Mount for example. And it is quite possible that a religious or political leader might be mad enough to try and invoke the end times by kicking off World War 3.
The Washington Times has reported on what they say is a genuine threat posted on a site that has published reliably accurate propaganda messages from al Qaeda and its affiliates in the past:
The coming strikes by al Qaeda, with God’s Might, will be in the heart of the land of non-belief, America, and in France, Denmark, other countries in Europe, in the countries that helped and are helping France, and in other places that shall be named by al Qaeda at other …
All of my 2012 work has revolved around aspects that are scientifically plausible – even if sometimes they are a bit “out there”. Here’s something that is definitely scientific, Violence Due in 2020:
Professor Peter Turchin suggests that peaks of violence in the US work on a 50-year cycle, with the next state of upheaval set to hit humanity in 2020.
If the violence is to peak in 2020, I guess that means we should soon see rises in the three types of violence Turchin describes:
“groups on groups,” which, in the case of modern-day America, would be riots
“groups against individuals,” which would be lynchings and that kind of thing
“individuals against groups,” which are what we call rampage killings (example, the Dark Knight shootings)
Turchin points out that rampage killings rose 20-fold in the last generation
I guess the question is this: are the prepper militia groups in the USA just really smart in preparing …
The Secrets of Fátima are well known. While the Third Secret was supposedly released by the Catholic Church in 2000, many experts have suggested that the true secret has been kept from us. Some believe it to be an end of the world prophecy, or at least the end of the Catholic Church.
Less well known is a similar prophecy, the Secret of La Salette. It says, in part:
The earth will be struck by calamities of all kinds (in addition to plague and famine which will be wide-spread). There will be a series of wars until the last war, which will then be fought by the ten Kings of the Antichrist, all of whom will have one and the same plan and will be the only rulers of the world. Before this comes to pass, there will be a kind of false peace in the world. People will think of nothing …
US Government officials believe North Korea will soon be building its first road-mobile intercontinental ballistic missile, an easily hidden weapon capable of hitting the United States. While the major concern is that North Korea might target nuclear warheads at the USA sometime in the future, an easier to realise payload could have catastrophic effects – High Altitude Electro-Magnetic Pulse.
Such a device, if nuclear-powered, could affect the electronics of an entire continent. But there are also non-nuclear HEMP devices. Because their explosive materials are much bulkier, they are more likely to be used on a specific target – Wall Street for example, or the downtown of any city. And they wouldn’t be restricted to sending just one. What if they fired one at every major city in the USA, all on the same day? Or what if they targeted nuclear power plants?
The recent upheavals in Egypt caused research permits to be …
It is certainly reassuring when a leading politician mentions the possibility of a catastrophe that most people are unaware of. Newt Gingrich is the subject of an article this week at the NY Times:
In debates and speeches, interviews and a popular book, he is ringing alarm bells over what experts call the electromagnetic pulse, or EMP — a poorly understood phenomenon of the nuclear age.
The idea is that if a nuclear weapon, lofted by a missile, were detonated in outer space high above the American heartland, it would set off a huge and crippling shockwave of electricity. Mr. Gingrich warns that it would fry electrical circuits from coast to coast, knocking out computers, electrical power and cellphones. Everything from cars to hospitals would be knocked out.
In the introduction to the 2009 novel One Second After, Gingrich said millions would die in the first week alone.
The US military believe that the …
I guess mainstream media constantly makes decisions on what they should print/air. At one end of the scale they are a commercial enterprise, so they need to be popular, which means airing stories we want to see. Beyond that they also have a moral duty to share important stories with us, even if they are not popular. Also, they should really stick to the facts and avoid speculation and conspiracy theories – yet public speculation can itself become a story, for example the 2012 meme. While there are few facts regarding 2012, there are plenty of facts regarding how people are preparing.
Over at BlackListedNews is a list of 12 stories the media is mostly ignoring, some of which I had not previously heard of:
#9 North Korea’s Super EMP Weapon:
The Soviet Union conducted an atmospheric test of an EMP weapon in 1962 over Kazakhstan whose pulse wave set on fire a …
A multitude of factors are coming into play for a global breakdown of society: water, food, oil, terrorism, global warming…
Because for most of us water is a plentiful and cheap resource, it is easy to ignore how perilous our situation has become. Egypt is one place that highlights the situation…
Egypt is 95% desert, and what keeps it alive is the Nile river. The Nile is sourced in other countries – poor countries that could use the water themselves, like Ethiopia. For a long time, via agreements and threats of violence, Egypt has maintained its domination of the Nile. But now we have the other, poorer countries standing up for their water rights. Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda have decided to take more of the water sourced from their countries – which means less for Egypt.
We might have a serious situation arising, and this is just one location. The whole …
There’s a very active thread over at Above Top Secret, which starts off like this:
To those who think that Operation Blackjack, that comic series published by the London Telegraph last year, was just a sick joke; It may come as a shock to learn that an earlier warning has been discovered and decoded. There are those that believe that the Illuminati publish their plans in encrypted ways, because it is necessary by their ‘order’ to involve us in the blood sacrifice?
…The actual decoding is very complex and may be posted in its entirety in a separate post. However, the following items were decoded and found contained within the terror article: * The number “33″ Illuminati marker of authentication. * The article claims that the terrorist shot tourist on December 24, 2007. * Then the article is decoded to warn of “dangerous winds” 912 days later, which happens to be June …
MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia has tested the world’s most powerful vacuum bomb, which unleashes a destructive shockwave with the power of a nuclear blast, the military said on Tuesday, dubbing it the “father of all bombs”.
The bomb is the latest in a series of new Russian weapons and policy moves as President Vladimir Putin tries to reassert Moscow’s role on the international stage.
“Test results of the new airborne weapon have shown that its efficiency and power is commensurate with a nuclear weapon,” Alexander Rukshin, Russian deputy armed forces chief of staff, told Russia’s state ORT First Channel television. The same report was later shown on the state-sponsored Vesti channel.
“You will now see it in action, the bomb which has no match in the world is being tested at a military site.”
It showed a Tupolev Tu-160 strategic bomber dropping the bomb over a testing ground. A large explosion followed.
Pictures showed what …
