Mexico is packed full of tourists for the next few months, strange folk drawn to the homeland of an apocalyptic prophecy, at the time the doomsday is meant to occur. If they didn’t believe it was special, they wouldn’t be there…
But next year it will be relatively quiet, and visiting Mayan sites will be just as special. And don’t worry about missing the End of The World – by reckoning you’ll still be in the danger zone until June 2013.
If you have watched Ancient Aliens then you know David Hatcher Childress. To really know him, read his Lost Cities series of books.
This tour looks like a nice middle-ground – not too obvious, not too extreme, and well looked after.
