Full Moon Quake in NZ

Eight hours short of full moon, just north of Wellington, NZ just had a 6.2 earthquake. No major damage or injuries. Still, I can’ t kick this idea that alignments – full and new moon are minor, eclipses are major – add extra stress to the equation. Keep a look out for a big quake on the opposite side of the world in the next few hours.
A strong earthquake struck off the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island on Tuesday, shaking residents across a wide area and toppling goods from shelves but there were no immediate reports of major damage or injury. [Reuters]
