Video On Relocating for Survival Purposes
The creator of this video is Fernando “Ferfal” Aguirre who wrote the very interesting survivalist book Surviving The Economic Collapse. While his writing style is unusual, his hardcore attitude makes it a must read – it’ll force you to think about many SHTF aspects that might be beyond your comfort zone.
In this video he discusses his decision process as he works out where to live – he’s leaving his Argentinian home because he no longer feels safe in that country.
thinking of pai in thailand, a little rural(it’s a hippie town in the north of thailand.. or chiang mai, a 1.5 million city in the north.
not too high in elevation(it floods)..so maybe luang prabang in laos?
there’s a foreigner/expats community in that buddhist town.
thinking of western china..rob bast is that area you think sinking?
is china a safe place.. i know iknow china is huge…
i am lately very interested to go to japan also. i am into the quest of what zen masters called enlightenment btw.. so i wonder if japan will be liberal enough to let me in..IS JAPAN A NO NO FOR DOOMERS? good question.
All I know is remembering Christ said, “Head for the hills”…and so we did, on top of a mountain….Eastern U.S. Feel pretty safe there, but still in Florida at the moment. We will see what more develops?
Also think you should follow your gut feelings. Thanks Rob!!
I have been following Rob’s internet writngs for over a decade and
although I took a bad fall 3 years ago today, and I still have a
broken leg. I have been able to put together a livable (for about
one year) supply of food and water, got my bullets,50 low voltage
LED flashlights,security devices,dog food,tools,fuel,etc. I did not
work for two years,so I was only able to afford some canned goods and
loads of dry rice and a good assortment of dry beans,50 gallons of
pure water (rotated) and a kaitedyn hiker water purifier.I am about
to buy a “Big Berkey” system, and I am going to start accumulating
the “luxuries”,like sugar,canned butter,a quality grain mill,etc.
But I have to tell you, at age 60,with a still broken leg, shattered
shoulder, when the big Florida thunderstorms roll through, the amount
of pain I go through and being alone,Unless I meet someone to share
my supplies with,I don’t know if I would want to survive. But I sure do like the IDEA of a gasoline explosive charge on on my supplies
and a deadman switch to threaten thugs with.
my god , does this guy go on and on. Waffle, waffle, waffle. he Never seems to get to the point, if indeed he has one. Imagine ending up in the same bunker as this expert in verbal diarrhea. If he would just put an X on the map where he is heading so hat I know where do avoid. Just watching that grey pen wander around imitating his grey matter shows exactly where he’s heading, nowhere special.
He’s right about those 3rd world toilets. I’ve lived in Costa Rica (way over-rated) where everyone seems to have the idea that it is a paradise. The natural beauty is nice but having to live in a society with thugs everywhere, iron bars on the windows, padlocks on everything, a Banco Nacional that steals their client’s money, etc, etc,….. Not my ideal lifestyle. I, like Fernando, don’t advise any of these 3rd world dumps to live in and don’t even advise visiting. The US is where I am. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best there is.
