Farewell Thumb Knuckle / Prepper Declared Insane

February 22, 2012 – 9:41 am | No Comment

Doomsday Preppers (currently screening on NatGeo in the USA) is reality TV, so of course it includes some drama. And what happened to Tim Ralston certainly wasn’t scripted:

Meanwhile, David Sarti, who also appeared on the show, has been declared insane. Yet it might all come down to his SHTF beliefs.
He visited a cardiologist and after refusing treatment ended up being kept in a psychiatric unit for evaluation – seemingly because the cardiologist felt Sarti was suicidal. You’d like to think a cardiologist wouldn’t be allowed to make such a call! Sarti was consequently released, with no further action taken, except for one very cruel twist: due to his brief stay at a psych facility, he has been deemed by the Tennessee state to be mentally defective and unfit to own a gun. Yet he is a survivalist… ironic.
Here’s Sarti telling his story:

In the second video he makes it clear that …

Dreams About 2012

Submitted by Robert Bast on August 28, 2011 – 5:09 pm3 Comments

As a child I had a few recurring dreams. One of them could’ve been a nightmare but wasn’t.

I was standing in the front yard of my home in cookie-cutter suburb. My parents and siblings were with me, and all the other families of the street were in their own front yards. Everybody was looking up, at the fireballs that were falling to Earth, crashing around us. We all just passively watched them fall.

The movie 2012 had a scene in which they are fleeing Yellowstone in a RV as fire bombs rain down  around them (see video). Those fire bombs are precisely what I had dreamed of all those years ago – although back then my young imagination thought they were little meteors.

Many people have dreams about disasters, including the end of the world. Some people have been introduced to the 2012 meme because the year was mentioned in their dream. Here are some places where people share their 2012 dreams:

I had a similar dream in 1999. I was in Washington state, hiking with friends at night on a mountain in the San Juan Islands. The sky was all of a sudden filled with what looked like fireballs or small meteors falling to the earth, millions of them. Then there was ash every where, all over the ground, falling from the sky. I can’t remember if the ash was there first or the fireballs… I then in the sky I saw a giant circle with a smaller circle inside of it with strange symbols written between the two circles and within that was the face of what people portray Jesus to look like. This very strange image had a golden light to it.. I am not a religious person by the way…. Another dream a few weeks after that same place, time was around sunset. I was looking at the south end of the island with my two best friends, towards the Olympic Peninsula. There was a VERY VERY LOUD rumbling and it was so intense it shook the ground under us. Not like an earthquake but like riding on a motorcycle. Then I looked up to the mountains and saw a wave that was 5 times the size of the Olympics rushing towards us. We some how ran or flew to Mount Baker. As we tried to run as fast as we could up the mountain we realized it was too late and we would never make it. We found an old cedar tree and circled it holding each others arms hoping it wouldn’t rip us apart so we could die together and we did.

I have been having a lot of dreams lately about major natural disasters. Many of them involve tornado’s. Last night I had one about a tornado opening up right over my home. I grabbed my wife and went to the basement which we don’t even have. I then proceeded to grab some rope and started tying them to use so we could then tie ourselves to something burred in the ground. Crazy dream as always. One of my dreams involved multiple tornado’s that kept popping up everywhere. The minute I started running in one direction another one would drop down near by. In a way I think our brains are telling us that something is coming and trying to get us ready. I have a short guide about things to do in order to survive 2012 and the website is posted here if you want to check it out.

I was just Googling to find out who else has had this dream. I had it a few times a few years back. About 4 years ago to be exact. They were precognitive dreams I am sure of that. I have had them all my life. We were standing on RT 1/Post RD in Connecticut near our old house, in the middle of the intersection during the day and the sky was really dark with swirling stormy looking clouds. Then these basketball sized fireballs started to fall like meteors from the sky, landing on things and starting fires and causing explosions. In my second dream it was the same but we were in my car, I was in the passenger seat and a friend was driving, and I was looking out my window up at the sky. The black roiling clouds parted and there was red and orange above it, like the sky was on fire. Those were my dreams. Now I think it may have something to do with solar activity and it is not man made. It concerns me because it is hard to protect yourself from if it does happen.
