Another Expert Agrees With Dark Comet Theory

The new Pope was not born with the name Peter, it isn’t his middle name, and he hasn’t taken Peter as his Papal name. Also, he is from Argentina, and doesn’t appear to have any connection with Rome except for visiting the Vatican. So, does that mean the Malachy prophecy has stumbled on the home turn?

Well:

• Francis was an Italian saint, and is joint Patron Saint of Italy
• The parents of Pope Francis were Italian immigrants (they were from Turin)
• There was a St. Frances of Rome
• Bergoglio was supposedly first choice when they picked the previous Pope, but he asked them to elect Benedict/Ratzinger instead – because he needed to be the final Pope?

In the forums there is discussion of the new Pope’s surname, Bergoglio:

“BERGO, BERGONZI : Originally from the Germanic word “berg”(monte) meaning mountain”
Petrus means rock
Mountains are made out of rock

And someone made a deeper connection:

Checked on the Oglio river, and it’s a river on the North of Italy. The name of the river comes from the Latin Olius, which means “olives”. On the other hand, Berg means mountain in German, and the North of Italy is right next to Germany. There’s probably some place in Italy called “Bergoglio”, which must mean “the mount next to river Oglio”, or “mount-olives”.

This is where it gets interesting. Because two famous things happen in the Bible on the Mount of Olives: First, it’s when Jesus talked about his second coming.

Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.

Several historians and interpreters of the prophecies note that they leave open the possibility of unlisted popes between “the glory of the olive” and the final pope, “Peter the Roman.”In the Lignum Vitae, the line In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit. forms a separate sentence and paragraph of its own. While often read as part of the “Peter the Roman” prophecy, other interpreters view it as a separate, incomplete sentence explicitly referring to additional popes between “the glory of the olive” and “Peter the Roman”^.
