Ascension Rubbish
For me there are four 2012 angles:
1) Scientific, with some connection to reality
2) Scientific, but seemingly just made up
3) New Age, sounds nice, but purely based on faith
4) New Age, making false claims of having a scientific basis
In general, I don’t mind the faith-based New Age 2012 ideas. They tend to be harmless, the proponents don’t seem to be cash-grabbing, and they are hard to disprove. Typically they use words like ascension, light-workers, dimensions, vibrations, planes and so on. But this one caught my eye as being particularly bad (you need to be a member of their social network to read it…):

You will read for yourself how there are two worlds living simultaneously, almost like parallel dimensions, which is what may happen to all of us soon….. This email is proof that we are on our way! I am in Awe!
…There are strange parallel universes happening. Houses a mess in some places, yet then a house with futons or laundry out drying in the sun. People lining up for water and food, and yet a few people out walking their dogs. All happening at the same time.
I think this is a common factor in almost every disaster, that some seem to be miraculously spared. This certainly is not evidence of ascension!
Good point Rob, ascension is a byproduct of tremendous energy, given out by higher beings, specifically to progress consciousness from 3rd density to 4th density. This movement makes people less involved with the material world, less materially based, more psychic, more compassionate, and more unified with each other and the higher planes than the beastly world of ego. 2012 is expected to accumulate these transforming energies in a way that current science cannot understand. Once the Energies peak, the Earth and her people become very pliable. Only then can a transformation take place that brings justice to all and complete this stage of evolution.
Some will escape the Earth completely, others will get a “new” Earth, others will get stuck with the mess they made in successive reincarnations serving the dark trends. It is important that people understand their window of opportunity, coming soon.
There is no historical precedent for what is about to happen, there is certainly no scientific understanding of how light enters and alters an established ecosystem. And hackneyed concepts like the Christian rapture, where people fly up into the sky to a physical Jesus coming on a cloud, are poetic and primitive.

I went to the Japanese link and I am so crippled up with arthritiis that I tend to cop a REAL nasty attitude when it takes more time than a few seconds to access a new
link,plus I do not enjoy mountains of spam. Something I have not heard you address
(or at least I do not remember it) is any info about the Large Hadron Collider,and I do not
see too many articles ANYWHERE about it.
I have have an incredible imagination and I had been reading Rob’s writings for a
long time when I first heard about the LHC (see previous comment) and I thought it may
be the pre-epmtor to an inter-dimensional transport device or an actual time machine to
take the ultra wealthy people of this planet to safety if in fact there is a negative stuation
occuring on 12/21/2012.
