Farewell Thumb Knuckle / Prepper Declared Insane

February 22, 2012 – 9:41 am | No Comment

Doomsday Preppers (currently screening on NatGeo in the USA) is reality TV, so of course it includes some drama. And what happened to Tim Ralston certainly wasn’t scripted:

Meanwhile, David Sarti, who also appeared on the show, has been declared insane. Yet it might all come down to his SHTF beliefs.
He visited a cardiologist and after refusing treatment ended up being kept in a psychiatric unit for evaluation – seemingly because the cardiologist felt Sarti was suicidal. You’d like to think a cardiologist wouldn’t be allowed to make such a call! Sarti was consequently released, with no further action taken, except for one very cruel twist: due to his brief stay at a psych facility, he has been deemed by the Tennessee state to be mentally defective and unfit to own a gun. Yet he is a survivalist… ironic.
Here’s Sarti telling his story:

In the second video he makes it clear that …

eBook review: The Ultimate 2012ology Secret Guide

Submitted by Robert Bast on December 18, 2009 – 2:54 amOne Comment

Written by Manjit Sareen, the “Ultimate 2012ology Secret Guide” is good overview of 2012 for anyone who is new to the topic – perhaps the 2012 movie was the first they had heard of it. The first of three major chapters is an overview of all the pertinent prophecies for 2012, the 2012 era, and the end of the world. It includes the usual suspects, plus prophecies not commonly associated with 2012 such as the Sybylline Prophecies, William Blake and those of the Maori.

Following this are some indicators of what is presently wrong with the world (economy, health, environment…) that we can all relate to, and then details of how we can prepare for 2012.
The suggested preparations are strictly New Age, there’s no mention of bunkers or long-life food products. Information includes The Law of Attraction, chakras and green living.
I can recommend this eBook for anyone after a quick reassurance that 2012 shouldn’t cause any concern if we follow various New Age principles. It barely mentions science, and when it does (for example galactic alignments) it simply relays common misconceptions.
Manjit sums it up nicely on his website:
My purpose is to educate others and make positive change 2012 is NOT going to be the end of the world but we do need to understand what is happening so that we can all evolve , this is an exciting time.
80 pages for $14.98, I rate it 6/10, but for New Agers only.

I have read your post on Manjit Sareems book, and agree with him whole heartedly. We leave the fear (negative energy) behind us and look forward to the comming change (positive energy), and we can survive as individuals and as a race. I'm a practicing Reiki Master my self, and understand the transferance of energy. Whith the proper energy,(positive)we can over come just about any thing, with the bad energy (negative)we leave our selfs open to just about everything. Continue with your preparations, but look and feel very positive about it, knowing it is for the betterment of human kind! Rodney
