Another Expert Agrees With Dark Comet Theory

Astronomer David Asher (from Armagh University) has agreed with Bill Napier and Janaki Wickramasinghe (Cardiff University) that “dark comets” are real and dangerous.
The following quotes are from a paper by Napier and Asher published in Astronomy & Geophysics.

We know that about one bright comet (of absolute magnitude as bright as 7, comparable to Halley’s Comet) arrives in the visibility zone (perihelion q<5AU, say) each year from the Oort cloud. It seems to be securely established that ~1–2% of these are captured into Halleytype (HT) orbits. The dynamical lifetime of a body in such an orbit can be estimated, from which the expected number of HT comets is perhaps ~3000. The actual number of active HT comets is ~25. This discrepancy of at least two powers of 10 in the expected impact rate from comets as deduced from this theoretical argument on the one hand, and observations on the other, is …

I’m Stumped by this Chinese Geoglyph

Originally posted by myself at 2012Forum.com, and nobody could tell me what it really is, so I’m asking the audience of this blog for ideas…

AstralWalker’s talk in Melbourne last month had some slides about GeoGlyphs. It was interesting hearing all the gasps in the audience when he showed the Chinese pyramids…

But this, I have not seen before:
Image

It is in China, near the Mongolian border
It is big – looks like hills etc don’t get in the way

The difficulty in determining what it is comes from the huge range of existing geoglyphs, that range from modern art like Colonel Sanders and the Firefox logo, to the ancient Nazca Lines. Without inspecting them at ground level, it is very hard to determine age and technique.

The best suggestion at the forum was that this is something like a quarry, and a large grader was used by someone who was on more then just a random mission:

There is clearly watershed over it in spots. The dimensions are roughly 1 mile square and the lines themselves average 50 foot wide. I can understand a mock runway and village but a mosaic pattern makes no sense to me even for a bored machine operator.

Scroll left when at Google Maps and there is a large square area that might be a clue…

How come … when the satellite views are altered
(moved "larger" and/or "smaller") there appears to be a specific point at which the "image" appears and/or disappears? Has someone been playing with the "tape"?
Also, the color appears to change at this point, too.
I smell a fraud … something just ain't right! IMHO, anyhow. -Aurumaster

Following the topography with any "device" is just not possible to get a straight line. An indication of someone's straightedge at work here?-Aurumaster

Don’t really know what it is, but a closer examination of the area reveals lots of tire tracks (especially around the large white square to the east) There also seems to be a very well traveled track to the north (from the area above the white square (possible huts and base buildings)) going to some railroad tracks. Also there is a landing strip to the west and another, larger base.

  • What stands out to me is the size of this geoglyph. I have found several clusters of
1 mile squares (approx) in North America. I believe that these huge squares were used
by the ancient Chinese for divination (fortune telling). I have arrived at that conclusion on the basis of Dr. Joseph Needham’s research. I am glad to be able to see this square in China because if they were doing this in Fu Sang (North America) then
why are there no examples of this in China. This geoglyph in China now shows a
similar square in China. For a review of my examples of this go to:

  • Have you wondered why these geoglyphs being discovered worldwide are not receiving attention from the academic community? There’s a simple explanation.
These geoglyphs do not fit into what the academics believe and what they are teaching around the world. The common wisdom is that the cultures to which men
belong started very simply and are developing on an almost straight line upward to
more advanced civilizations over time. There is litte or no room for highly advanced
cultures that occur out of sequence. When this occurs academia ignores it. If
you doubt this google the different theories on diffusion. The main ones are “cultural
    diffusion” and “evolutionary diffusion.

As amazing as this geoglyph is in China its equally amazing that there are Asian Vedic symbols and customs that are now appearing all over the ancient world but particularly in ancient North America. For examples of this google the following sites. “Bisti Rock Formations New Mexico” and go to the Images section, “Phallic Symbols North America” and “Mandalas, Manjis, Mantras and Monuments”
