Katla: The Other Icelandic Volcano To Worry About
I’m quoting an article from Air Cargo World. Obviously their major concern is how Katla could affect flights in Europe. My concern is that a Katla eruption could cause far greater problems. Worst-case scenario is a global plunge in temperature = crop failures = starvation, civil strife and economic meltdown. If you haven’t already being storing food for a possible 2012 event, this is a great excuse to start today. Buy food that you will eat anyway (for example a some 20kg sacks of rice), but get it in bulk now. And never tell anyone.
Following the recent eruption of the nearby Guðnasteinn volcano beneath the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, Icelandic president Ólafur Grímssono commented: “The time for Katla to erupt is coming close. It is high time for European governments and airline authorities all over the world to start planning for the eventual Katla eruption.”
In the past 1,000 years, all three known eruptions of Eyjafjallajökull have triggered a subsequent eruption of Katla.
Paddy Power [bookmakers] said: “For all our sakes I hope these punters have got it wrong. Katla is the Big Daddy of Iceland’s active volcanoes and should it blow it would more than likely spell disaster for the airline industry along with misery for millions of air travelers.”
The betting spread on when Katla will next erupt are 11:8 this year falling to 2:1 in 2011, 4:1 in 2012 and 6:1 in 2013. The bookmaker is also taking bets on when UK airspace will next close. May 14 or later is the even-money favorite.
Glad to see that someone’s thinking of the crop failure/starvation angle. The world’s governments are too caught up in their global warming fantasy to even conceive that mother nature can do more to effect the climate in a few hours than mankind has done in its entire existence….
It may not be war or Nuclear to worry about….may be Mother Nature coming at us. Pole change cause?….Planet lineup coming… is bound to affect the weather. Solar flares…storing food won’t help then! I’ve been storing for two years, and still buying…and actually driven to keep buying….but not eating! So Earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanoes, tsunamis, etc., means something is amiss!
Someone look up bildebergers. They’ve got it all covered. Best thing to do is wake up and start reading your Bible. He will take care of you.

But, I have a truck with a camper and a kitty, so we could go somewhere. where are we supposed to go with our large bags of rice? lol. also, check out D.U.M.B.S (deep underground military bunkers).
