Just over 2 years ago the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2011_T%C5%8Dhoku_earthquake_and_tsunami\">T\u014dhoku tsunami<\/a> killed more than 15,000 people and triggered a nuclear disaster. You could be forgiven for thinking that is as bad as it can get &#8211; but the reality is much worse tsunamis can and will occur. A new report suggests that a 9.0 earthquake in the Nankai Trench, off the coast of Japan, could kill 300,000+ people and cause damage in the billions. It could also displace 10 million people, or 8% of the population.
