The Sahara desert used to be fertile – and that’s in modern history…<\/p>\n

Meanwhile camels used to live within the Arctic Circle, and hippos swam in English rivers.<\/p>\n

Not quite on the same scale of time (unless you believe in recent crustal displacements), but down at the South Pole there once was a river:<\/p>\n
