I’m generally not a fan of theories disguised as fiction, and not a fan of prophecy either (too much to wade through to find anything real, and too hard to determine you have found it).<\/p>\n

That’s two reasons why Cosmic Locusts<\/em> by J.J. Keene is one of the many 2012-related books I failed to read prior to last month. But when I read it last night, I was riveted. Aside from the Biblical aspects, I feel he and I are on the same wavelength. Several things stood out:<\/p>\n

He describes a suburban meteor storm – a recurring dream I had as a child, and the only “prophecy” I have ever had<\/li>\n
He describes “dark comets”. His book was written in 2002, before the idea made the media.<\/li>\n
The story revolves around a sun-grazing comet discovered in 2008, that would have an Earth encounter on Oct 3, 2012. C\/2012 S1 (ISON) is a sun-grazing comet discovered on 21 September 2012.\u00a0 ISON sounds ominously similar to Keene’s comet…<\/li>\n

His mention of the swastika ties in with a lot of chatter<\/a> (from just one person) at 2012 forum.<\/li>\n
Carl Sagan in his book Comet<\/em> (1985) reproduces Han period Chinese manuscript (the Book of Silk<\/em>, 2nd century BC) that shows comet tail varieties: most are variations on simple comet tails, but the last shows the comet nucleus with four bent arms extending from it, recalling a swastika. Sagan suggests that in antiquity a comet could have approached so close to Earth that the jets of gas streaming from it, bent by the comet’s rotation, became visible, leading to the adoption of the swastika as a symbol across the world [Wikipedia<\/a>]<\/li>\n
He indicates the Galactic Center lying between Scorpio and Sagittarius, though strangely misses the connections with LaViolette\u00a0 (the stinger and arrow pointing to the GC) and the Maya, who both also appear in his book. What he does highlight is a Nostradamus quatrain that alludes to the GC, by mentioning both Scorpio and Sagittarius (Century 1, Quatrain 16, his<\/em> translation)<\/li>\n
The U.S. Secretary of the Navy is named Mabus<\/a> – in the book, at that time, he was the U.S Ambassador to Saudi Arabia<\/li>\n
The Chinese parade dragon is very long with practically no legs and an excessively large head. It doesn’t take too much imagination to figure that might represent a comet…<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
