Sixty-five feet long, and weighing 80 tons when it is completed, this is a truly home made ark, in the tradition of Noah. It might not be much to look at, but if it floats in a 2012 apocalyptic flood, it could just save the life of Lu Zhenghai.<\/p>\n

Sadly, after two years of working on it, and with the Dec 21 doomsday just a few weeks away, the ark is not finished.<\/p>\n

Lu Zhenghai lives in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwest China. Looks like he took the 2012<\/em> movie literally – the impossible idea of a tsunami flooding the Himalayas – so I’m sure he won’t be needing it!<\/p>\n
