If you have been following this blog, you’ll know that I am not an “everything plus the kitchen sink” conspiracy theorist.<\/p>\n

I pick and choose. As a quick example, I think crop circles are made by the military, I am a global warming denialist, the moon landings could have been a hoax (but probably not), UFOs don’t exist, 9\/11 was probably an inside job and JFK was killed by order of Mr. Onassis.<\/p>\n

Regarding the “Illuminati”, my gut feeling is that they are real (in terms of a group of rich powerful folk trying to engineer our future), but their intentions are a combo of preserving personal wealth and improving the lot of everyone else.<\/p>\n

I don’t believe in the “evil agenda”, primarily because it would have been too easy<\/em> to achieve before now.<\/p>\n

While some might see an intertwined conspiracy to control the world, I just see a bunch of filthy-rich capitalists who hang out with their peers. Mixing with people of similar political persuasion and socioeconomic status is the norm throughout the world, and not unique to these alleged Illuminati.<\/p>\n

I’m not saying I agree with their policies – I trust these folk as much as I trust my local politicians. But what I don’t see evidence for is absolute evil or malice. People in power are often self-serving, but that is well-short of wishing ill upon the 99%.<\/p>\n
