While I’m at it, here are all<\/em> the problems I have with Conspiracy Theorists:<\/p>\n

1. They have no BS detector.<\/strong> Few CTs will tell you that they believe in this wacky idea, but this other wacky idea is crazy and wrong. Typically they will believe anything and everything, because they want the problems in their lives to be caused by external agents. They will believe they cannot get a job because the Illuminati have spotted their paranoid CT ramblings in an email, although the real reason is probably their hair dyed bright orange.<\/p>\n

2. 99.999% gonna happen<\/strong>, and basically nothing ever predicted by CTs has come true. A brilliant case in point, and the inspiration for this rant, is a post<\/a> by Booth Gunter at HateWatch<\/em>. He details the top conspiracy fears regarding the re-election of Obama. Anything from full dictatorship to removal of gun ownership rights, or even outright civil war. The obviously problem with these ideas is that in his four years of power to date Obama has done nothing of the sort. Which leads us to:<\/p>\n

3. What is taking them so long?<\/strong> According to many theorists, the evil plans of the NWO \/ Illuminati go back a century or more. The idea of depopulation goes back decades. So why haven’t they done anything evil yet?<\/p>\n

4. Lack of whistle blowers.<\/strong> Real conspiracies, if they are widespread enough, get whistle blowers. It happened to Big Tobacco. It happened recently to News Corp in the U.K. If enough people know about something morally wrong, someone will have the guts to come out and spill the beans. And yet all the main conspiracies lack a single whistle blower. Although I am a believer in 9\/11 being not as we are told, I cannot understand why a single legit whistle blower has not emerged. There would surely have been hundreds of people in the loop to some degree.<\/p>\n

5. Unsound motivations.<\/strong> Political and economic scholars will tell you that prosperous countries crave a larger population, because the power of those in charge will increase. Yet we are told of plans to depopulate the planet. FEMA is tasked with cleaning up after a disaster – yet modest emergency accommodation is described as concentration camps. On the other hand, the fake Moon landing had a very sound financial and political motivation. That probably explains how a movie about it got made – because it was believable!<\/p>\n

6. No true evidence.<\/strong> Just like UFOs, it all makes sense in a roundabout way, but there’s not an instance of genuine, unambiguous evidence.<\/p>\n
