While many people will have a go bag and safe spot worked out, most people will be less proactive. On an allocated plot of high-ground land they will place several shipping containers. For a small fee you get to store a drum, barrel or bucket within the containers. It might be a cheap and dirty survival plan, but it is substantially better than nothing. By participating, people will have a clear idea of where to flee to, and they&#8217;ll have what they need to survive for a few days &#8211; fortunately tsunami victims usually get help quite quickly.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The pad is inland, east of the coastal highway, and planned for an elevation above the expected inundation level.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;A 55-gallon plastic barrel costs $57.90, and the annual fee is $55.
