But I always presumed that detecting cosmic rays was something that only top-level scientists could achieve. Unfortunately the only option I could find was to build one yourself. While the cost might not be a deterrent for some survivalists ($1000-$2000), you&#8217;ll also need to have some experience putting together electronic components.
