And the one below is from Victoria, Australia (more at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.universetoday.com\/95883\/timelapse-surprise-aurora-australis\/\">Universe Today<\/a>). Truly unusual, but nothing compared to how widespread auroras were during the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Solar_storm_of_1859\">Carrington Event<\/a>. Any time you see auroras somewhere that doesn&#8217;t usually get them &#8211; your power grid could be failing.
