Reality&#8230; it&#8217;s a non-story, despite what you may read:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fukushima-diary.com\/2012\/04\/mutated-dandelion-in-tokyo\/\">Mutated dandelion in Tokyo<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicolnews.com\/fukushima-wave-of-radiation-heading-for-the-usa-west-coast\/\">Radiation Heading towards the West Coast<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.alexanderhiggins.com\/2012\/04\/23\/michigan-plants-mutated-due-radioactive-fukushima-nuclear-fallout-125991\/\">Michigan Plants Mutated?<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I figure if I looked in my garden I could find some mutated-looking plants. My years of fruit-picking (I grew up on an orchard) has me certain that odd-looking plants are not unusual. So, besides the pics of &#8220;mutated plants&#8221;, I haven&#8217;t seen any real evidence that Fukushima has affected anyone outside of the local zone.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.citizen.co.za\/citizen\/content\/en\/citizen\/opinion-columnists?oid=264720&amp;sn=Detail&amp;pid=146827&amp;The-glow-that%E2%80%99s-in-all-of-us\">common sense look<\/a> at the non-problem:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;.in Iran, the natural radiation gives people a dose of up to 260mSv a year. They have been living there for thousands of years. No ill health effects have ever been seen.<\/p>\n<p>A  year after the Fukushima accident, radiation experts show that most  members of the public in the affected zone received doses of less than  1mSv, which is trivial. The worst dose, to only two people, was not more  than 23mSv.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The ensuing nuclear accident at Fukushima killed nobody. Lacking any  casualties, the activists use the fear of radiation.
