I get a lot of emails from Christians who assure me I am wrong about 2012. They share with me a Biblical passage, of which there are various translations<\/a> but the message is the same:<\/p>\n

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
\nBut concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.<\/em>
\n(Matthew 24:35-36)<\/p>\n

And I agree with them.<\/span> Nobody except for God knows exactly when the Biblical <\/em>apocalypse will occur. Only God has his finger on that button, and despite attempts to bring it on this year (as I can’t help but feel we must endure), humans will have to wait until God decides it is time.<\/p>\n

But what about a non-Biblical apocalypse?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Does it say anywhere in the Bible There shall be no other apocalypse except for mine?<\/em> Does it say There will be no asteroid impacts and no solar flares?<\/em><\/p>\n

Christianity does not have a monopoly on global cataclysms, and the Bible does not preclude other disasters. 2012 and Christianity are mutually compatible, and you’ll find the majority of canned food hoarding 2012ers are Christians.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
