It is important that planning of your safe spot \/ survival retreat includes an understanding of all the local and federal laws. Officials who have no understanding of what you are trying to achieve might decide to throw the book at you. Consider how the law regards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-sufficient electricity<\/li>\n<li>Old machinery lying about<\/li>\n<li>Fencing<\/li>\n<li>Private Property signage<\/li>\n<li>Tidiness<\/li>\n<li>Length of your grass<\/li>\n<li>Plants that could be classified as weeds<\/li>\n<li>Are you allowed to have that chicken\/goat\/horse in your zone?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have to have connections to utilities?<\/li>\n<li>Is your house legally habitable?<\/li>\n<li>Is your portable toilet sufficient?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have business license for anything you produce<\/li>\n<li>Are your guns legal and stored safely?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And so on&#8230; you really need to look at every aspect of your place that appears different to your neighbors.
