On Friday <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/nz\/news\/article.cfm?c_id=1&amp;objectid=10736180\">Auckland had a 2.9 quake<\/a> &#8211; unusual for that part of New Zealand and the largest they have received in four years. Scientists said was not associated with any known faults, and although it was beneath Auckland&#8217;s volcanoes, normally a <em>cluster <\/em>of quakes would be signs of unrest. Fingers crossed on that!<\/p>\n<p>Today there were quakes on both sides of the Tasman Sea. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canberratimes.com.au\/news\/national\/national\/general\/earthquake-shakes-melbourne\/2216251.aspx\">Melbourne felt a 4.4 quake<\/a> with an epicenter 120 kms away. This is the biggest we have received in 44 years.
