American Survivalists – Brace Yourselves
Today’s news is quite disturbing. The U.S. Senate voted to let the military detain terrorism suspects on U.S. soil and hold them indefinitely without trial. This is outside of the normal judicial process. In theory absolutely anybody can be sent to Guantanamo Bay (or some other overseas detention center) and there is no recourse available. Even, say, a political candidate, or an outspoken rap artist. You’d like to think the media would help and highlight any travesties of justice, but I wouldn’t have 100% faith in that.
The problem is a combination of:
1) A DOJ directive that lists criteria for being suspected as a terrorist – as described by Rand Paul (son of Ron) in the video below, including keeping more than 7 days of food, and having ammunition.
2) The government can, via the military, detain anyone suspected of terrorism, without charge, indefinitely.
A Financial Apocalypse
My preference is for doom days that an ancient culture could have predicted, no matter how remote the possibility. But I still leave no stone unturned, so let’s look at the global economy, prompted by this article:
New Agers have been misinterpreting the Mayan calendar for years. The earth will not spin into a black hole or collide with Planet X on Dec. 21, 2012, as popularly predicted.
There won’t be deadly solar flares. There won’t be any more earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes or tornadoes than usual. There won’t even be some fanciful global spiritual awakening, as often imagined. This is not what the Mayans were talking about.
The pre-Columbian, Mesoamerican civilization is renowned for its advanced mathematics.
…Within a year, every major investment bank in the world was blowing up, and the little people all over the planet were forced to fund an unprecedented intervention to save bankers from a Mayan-style extinction.
…these volatile swings aren’t the …
Alien-Human Hybrids Possible?
I’ve read a lot of books about the Nephilim, ancient astronauts, and the possibility of aliens mating with humans, as described by the Bible. I’ve rejected the alien aspect, because I think the same logic could be used if we had another human species in the mix – the Mysterious Elders perhaps. Either way, if the other species is too far removed from humans, it is understood that the resultant hybrid children would be sterile, like mules. Well, some mule mares have had foals – but generally hybrids are not expected to fare well evolution-wise.
Now for the weird news, via New Scientist:
Metamorphosis, like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, is more commonplace than generally known. For example it can be found in 15 different phyla of marine animals. Some scientists now believe that metamorphosis may have been the driving force behind the Cambrian explosion, when most phyla suddenly appeared in the …
Megafaunal Extinction – Still Unsolved
Many scientists have been attempting to find an underlying cause for the demise of large mammals at the end of the last Ice Age. And they will still keep trying, because they aren’t thinking outside of the box. Today’s news has a scientist coming up with three different reasons for three species – I can’t see why this was even published…
Results of the analysis, which appear online today in Nature, “were quite surprising,” Willerslev says. “The extinctions seemed to be a random process.”
How is that a result? It basically says we don’t know. Those many species didn’t all die out at the same time due to random processes!
Conclusions from the study:
Humans did not cause the demise of woolly rhinos
Humans did not cause the demise of musk oxen
Humans (and climate change) did cause the demise of the steppe bison
“The team wasn’t able to determine the cause or causes of extinction for …
Dec 21, 2012: Second Mayan Reference
Mayan experts keen to debunk 2012 doomsday theories used to point out how strange it was that the Mayans never mentioned the specific date of (their equivalent to) Dec 21, 2012, not anywhere. The only way we knew of it is by determining when their Long Count would finish, and start again. Then a few years ago some scholars let us in on a secret, the date is inscribed upon Tortuguero Monument 6:
…(long ago) it happened, the day Eight Chuwen, the ninth of Mak
when the Becoming-Ripe-House was constructed(?).
It was the ‘underground house’ (shrine) of (the god) Ahkal K’uk’.
It was two and nine-score days, three years, eight-score years and 3 x 400 years
(before) the Thirteenth Bak’tun will end
on Four Ajaw, the third of Uniiw,
when ..?.. it will occur,
the descent..?.. of B’olon Yookte’ at ..?..
Given that there was just one mention, experts assured us that Dec 21 2012 was not an important …
A Humorous Nibiru Video
So as to focus on the clear and present (potential) dangers of 2012, I’ve spent a lot of time debunking various scenarios. Planet X / Nibiru is NOT heading our way in 2012. There is zero evidence that it exists, and the trail of confusion is easy to discover (primarily NASA made the mistake of using the words Planet X for a planet they were looking for, but hadn’t found). I’ve asked around, and nobody who is sure of its arrival can tell me where in the sky it will become visible, or when…
Deek Jackson makes funny videos about global politics under the brand of FKN Newz. Occasionally he plays Conspiracy Clown, and here he is debunking Planet X, take a look:
[language warning]
If you liked that, one of his funniest videos of recent times is about Mad Face Disease.
Another Alien Skull?
Probably a child with a deformity, potentially an alien and possibly an example of a different human species…

At RPP (in Spanish) experts are claiming that it is an alien:
Riquelme Davila explained that the body is 50 centimeters tall, triangular head, eye cavity too large, open fontanelle, which is only characteristic of children up to 1 year and has molars, which show that there is a tremendous gap that is not common in humans.
“It looks not human because the head is triangular and tremendous, indeed, the head is about the size of body and thought I was a kid but Spanish and Russian doctors have come and we have confirmed that this is indeed an extraterrestrial” , said through RPP Noticias.
The discoverer is based in Cusco, but the news items don’t say where the body was found…
Gerard Celente on MF Global
I don’t usually cover politics and finance here, but we have a very interesting piece of audio… Gerard Celente is a well known futurist and forecaster. It just so happens (he claims) that his savings have been lost due to the collapse of MF Global, in which the company run by Jon Corzine misplaced close to a billion dollars.
It’s interesting that an acclaimed futurist, who sensibly was investing in gold, invested with the wrong people… but that’s just a stark reminder that due diligence is a necessity.
Listen, and think about the possibility of this happening to you. Under the mattress has never seemed more appealing!
Falling Sea Levels & Fewer Hurricanes
The image is from aviso.oceanobs.com and shows the change in the average sea level for the northern hemisphere. The data is from the European Union’s Envisat satellite, which was launched in 2002. Now NASA will tell you that the recent dip is due to the switch from El Niño to La Niña conditions. Well if that’s enough to reverse the previous 7 years of rising seas, that’s excellent news.
If you were to take the chart back prior to 2004, I’m sure you’d see continual rises over the long term. That’s normal. Because since the end of the last Ice Age seas have risen 100 meters! Nothing to do with human activity…
Meanwhile, US Hurricanes are on the decline:
Tsarion and Icke: A Quick Critique
Just got back from Michael Tsarion’s 8 hour talk in Melbourne. About 200 attended, at $80 each. More Aussie dates will follow.
I like the guy – he’s easy to watch and listen to, and is very bright. Unfortunately he has done a complete u-turn, just like David Icke. Whereas he was once angry about the NWO, now all he advocates is being a New Ager and hoping that inner spirituality will be your savior.

Jim Bakker: Special Offer
Jim Bakker is one of those disgraced televangelists. I wondered about the markup on his $3800 product (found in his Love Gifts department):
Actually the price is in line with what Amazon charges… so I guess his main aim is to get you on his mailing list as someone with $$. Even so, he must be expecting a major disaster/rapture of some sort, and perhaps he is seeking to profit from those who won’t be saved by God/Jesus?
If anyone knows why he is selling survival supplies, please let me know… It feels hypocritical.
NASA Expert: No 2012 Supervolcano
This is weak, weak, weak. The headline is quite definite:
Supervolcanoes: Not a Threat For 2012
But if you read the article, NASA expert Adam Voiland (not an expert really, see his resume) points out:
Volcanologists have many unanswered questions about supervolcanoes, including what triggers their eruptions, and how can we predict when the next supervolcano will erupt?
The most recent supereruption occurred in New Zealand about 26,000 years ago.
Scientists have no way of predicting with perfect accuracy whether a supervolcano will occur in a given century, decade, or year – and that includes 2012.
The odds if a supervolcano erupting in any given year is close to a million-to-one.
There’s no sign of a supereruption looming anytime soon.
On that last point, given that scientists have never witnessed such an eruption, and they don’t know what triggers them, how do they know what to look for?
For those of us that believe there were …
NASA Expert: Solar Flares Harmless
You just know I’m going to be critical of this news item…
Dr Alex Young, a heliophysicist at Nasa’s Goddard Space Flight Center, said we don’t need to worry about the sun for another few billion years – and certainly not in 2012.
He said: ‘We understand the sun well enough, with all the technology and all the science – and all of the many spacecraft we have that are monitoring it 24 hours a day, seven days a week – to know that this super storm that is going to wipe out the earth simply isn’t going to happen.’
Yep, once more an expert has decided to ignore the concepts of global cataclysms, and TEOTWAWKI, and just address the complete destruction of planet Earth. Any 2012 survivalist obviously don’t expect that to happen… because nobody would survive.
He said that, apart from a nasty skin burn …
St Louis: Most Unsafe U.S. City
I have spent many hundreds of hours determing the safest places to be, worldwide, if we have a global cataclysm. My findings will be released soon. Owen Davies, of Forecasting International, has determined the most unsafe place to be in the USA to be St Louis. The city faces threats from a number of directions:
Earthquakes (New Madrid fault)
Flooding (Mississippi)
Tornadoes
Environmental Pollution
Highest Crime Rate in the USA
Being 100 miles from the nearest nuclear power plant means it could be safe from radiation, except the prevailing wind is from the West/Northwest
The original article was in The Futurist magazine, Sept-Oct 2011 – but a copy is online.
Great Pyramid Closed for 11/11/11
Hard to tell what the real story is… Did the idea of people meditating scare them? Too many crowds? Thwarted terrorist attack? The mind boggles.
Egypt will close the Great Pyramid of Giza later today to avoid any rituals by a group rumoured to have plans to mark the date of 11/11/11 at the site, an official said.
The decision came “after much pressure” from Egyptian Internet users saying strange rituals were going to be held “within the walls of the pyramid on November 11, 2011″, said Atef Abu Zahab, head of the Department of Pharaonic Archaeology.
The Supreme Council of Antiquities confirmed the closure of the tourist site in a statement that only referred to the need for maintenance following a busy period during Muslim holidays.
Bruce Fenton is over there for 11/11/11 and he reported on Facebook that there were soldiers deployed at giza. …
