Survivalists in Florida

May 19, 2012 – 11:49 pm | 2 Comments

Great article in the Miami New Times last week, profiling preppers and survivalists like these folk:
Jorge Villa – after a terrifying experience during Hurricane Andrew he devised his own bunkers, and sells them to folk – some of whom are worried about the end of the Mayan calendar – via his business U.S. Bunkers
Neal Wiseman – moderates a group called the South Florida Survivalist Network, and has a year’s worth of food stored for his family, should the need arise:

Chris Petrovich – prepper for 25 years. He has helped others “cache extra fuel and food, stashed in public-storage units and underground, at intervals on an 800-to-1,200-mile path out of Florida. Amid darkness and chaos, skirting burning sugarcane fields and accidents and roadblocks, they’ll drive from cache to cache toward a secret inland hiding spot, exhausting the last available remnants of the petroleum age.”
While Petrovich himself plans on staying, I agree with …

Deadly 6.3 Quake in ChristChurch NZ

Submitted by Robert Bast on February 22, 2011 – 2:24 pm4 Comments

Looks like dozens of people have died during an earthquake that struck Christchurch during their lunch hour. Several large office buildings have collapsed, as well as the cathedral.

Another deadly earthquake occurring within 3 days of the full moon. I have written recently of the new pattern emerging where quakes have become more likely during an eclipse. A lunar eclipse only happens during a full moon (likewise solar eclipses happen during the new moon). I’m really hoping that the trio of eclipses between June 1 and July 1 of this year don’t set off earthquakes as well.

after the last solar eclipse ,there where earthquakes of magnitude 7 in pakistan , you didnt cover it !

  • Rob Bast says:

Eclipse was Jan 4, Pakistan earthquake was Jan 18. I’ve been saying there are increased chances of quakes 5 days either side of an eclipse. Keep in mind, this doesn’t say there will be a major quake during those 10 days, not does it mean there won’t be quakes outside of those 10 days. I’m just saying a dramatically increased likelihood.

This morning there was two earthquakes in Sumatra Indonesia. At about 8:10am and 11:00am (14th June ’11) just as you have mentioned during the solar eclipse. Great info and thanks.

What is the energetic mechanism that actually carries the energy –or blockage of energy– from the eclipse into the Earth? Could 3 eclipses be compiled into one big quake coming along later? Without understanding the mechanism, how can we rule this out?
