SWAT Team Storms Private Bunker

May 10, 2012 – 1:39 pm | 3 Comments

The anti-survivalist actions of some authorities in the USA are getting much worse. In recent times we have seen the malicious use of zoning laws to thwart survival plans, and we have seen many of things survivalists do listed as suspicious (in a terrorism way). This most recent news is of special concern for anyone who has a private bunker:
After getting dressed Mr. Del Rio went and opened his front door. He was immediately bum rushed by the Austin Police Department’s SWAT Team and then detained and interrogated for over 10 hours.
His crime: on his property was an old Cold War bunker that Mr. Del Rio had converted into a workshop.
You’d think the interrogation would have been enough punishment, but unfortunately the authorities:

fenced off his home and prohibited him from entering the residence
filled in his entire basement and bunker with 264 tons of concrete
sent him a bill for $90,000 in …

US Grid Concerns Continue

Submitted by Robert Bast on September 1, 2010 – 11:26 pm2 Comments

One of the leading voices in the 2012 Doomsday field, Lawrence Joseph, has focussed on the potential for the next solar cycle peak to wreak havoc on electrical grids worldwide, but especially in the USA. The reasons the USA is singled out are:

  • their grid is antiquated
  • their grid is overloaded

Even without the Sun being a factor, the USA power grid can still easily have a cascading blackout. The concerns have been acknowledged by the US government, and bodies like NASA. Some books and articles have pointed out how catastrophic a nationwide outage could be. Basically, if the grid has failed in many locations, repairing it could take up to 6 months. That’s 6 months without electricity that runs hospitals, pumps water, runs gas stations, and powers heating and air conditioning. It is quite likely that millions would die.

While President Obama is supposedly committed to upgrading the US grid, in reality it looks like any upgrades are in limbo. Could the USA make the same mistake as they did with New Orleans, the same lack of sensible preparations?

Congressman Roscoe Bartlett, from Maryland, posted this on his website, regarding a Senate decision earlier this month:

“It is unfortunate that while one part of the federal government was warning us of possible solar electromagnetic pulse (EMP) damage to our electric grid, a key Senate Committee approved a bill to ignore this threat.  It’s particularly ironic since the Senate amended a bill, H.R. 5026, approved unanimously by the House that would specifically protect the grid against solar EMP and other physical threats.”

Our planet throughout history has been witness to many dramitic condisions;i.e. several large weather changes, many hugh volcano eruptions, God only knows how many earth quakes, droughts, metor impacts, world wide infections and so on. Yet the majority if people living in TODAYS world for some reason take the attitude that none of those things can happen to them! It’s like the people living at the bottom of an active volcano, thinking that since the thing blew its top 200 years ago, it won’t do it again. To them I say,”make sure you have that silver spoon firmly in your mouth.

What I’ve read on this & other sites about loss of electricity from solar flares or even nuclear explosions fail to mention: computer chips in cars will also make them useless, as well as some other generators, testing equipment to repair equipment, some prison locking systems, and everything that has computer chips in them.

When it hits, we’re screwed. The equipment that makes the parts we’ll need to repair burnt up equipment will also be burnt up. Electricity is our number one source & item that makes us civilized. Future history will refer to this time as the second dark age because it could seem like ages before power returns.

I challenge anyone to go one single hour without any form of electrical device. Its importance cannot be overstated. Even books will only be good in daylight.
