2012 Base Hits 500

I've not mentioned our directory of 2012-related sites for some time, so now that we have reached 500 listings, I figured I could.

Most of the sites have struck me as being worthy of listing, after finding them during my many hours of 2012 research. Others are surprises that were submitted. Regardless of how they are found, one thing is clear - the 2012 movement is growing rapidly.

Let me know if any quality 2012 sites aren't yet listed at 2012 Base.

Have any of them genius mathmeticians that are perplexed as to why the Myan Calendar ends on 2012 thought about the real reason it ends?
The Myans studied space, astrology, the sun and the planet we all live on: Earth!
They based their calendar, mathematically and systematically, on the very models they used to measure time.
What do all of these models have in common?
THEY ARE ALL CIRCLES!!!!
When a clock hits 12:00, noon or midnight, does that mean that the clock is over? NO! It simply restarts where it did yesterday, at 12:00!
The Mayans, in their ancient mathematical glory, were the first to discover Pi (for you Doomsday scientists, thats the universal number to find almost any property of a circle). They founded an entire science on this wonderful magic non-terminating decimal that, seemingly, recurrs non-terminating from the atomic to the universal scale!
If you were going to make a calendar based on this science, what shape would it resemble? A square, like the traditional calendar we use today? Maybe a triangle?
NO!! YOU GENIUS MATHEMATICIANS!! IT WOULD BE A CIRCLE!!
If you were to make a circle and create a beginning point, based on Earth, the Sun and the stars, wouldn’t you use the alignment of all of the known planets in our solar system as that crucial pinnacle?
And what would be the end of that same circle?
The next time it alligns!
Its not the end of the world according to the Mayans. Its the end of the cycle they used to date and log time!
Rather than spending another umpteen years etching yet another identical calendar, the Mayans simply assumed that as mankind evolved they would continue to understand that every functional item (atoms, cells, orbits of planets, shapes of stars, the apparent centrifugal pattern of the universe, etc…) was modeled after a simple 360 degree elypse.
Find some other crap to use to panic the masses into chaos and quit using ultra-intelligent, forgotten civilizations’ calendars!!!!
The Bible and Curan are great sources. But I can use a different mathematical decoding procedure: the Fabernacci Sequence on the same Aramaic Scrolls and spell a totally different message:
BULL$H!T!
Are these the same cronies that fed us all that line about Y2K being the end because computers (which use 1s and 0s as binary code) would crash because they couldn’t count from 1999 to 2000?
We all know how that went. lots of people bought lots of soup and water, Campbells and Fiji got really rich and NOTHING HAPPENED!!
Even if it is the end, don’t we all die anyway when its all said and done? Why panic? Oh My God! I’m Gonna Die!!
The number one cause of death has yet to be recognized undeniably as BIRTH!
We all die.
Let’s all live until then.
Go etch another circle, duplicate all those Mayan symbols. Or, better yet, just use the old circle they already made all over again.

Tom,

Though like yourself I do not ascribe a doomsday to 21-12-2012 (it is of course possible) you have made a glaring error.

The planets do not all align on 21-12-2012 or on a ny day near to that date. In fact not only do not all of the planets align on that date in fact NO PLANETS ALIGN ON THAT DATE!
