National Geographic have published photos of the vault that has been built at the island of Spitsbergen, Norway. Pics of the nearest town are included as well.

Interesting. If and when this doomsday comes, how will people be directed to this vault? Are they coming from the wing of having people actually survive this doomsday? If there are survivors, how will we know that out of that number of survivors, they will actually know of this vault? And its location?
Is there anyway to put my book in there? J/K

The only viable reasoning for this vault, that I can see, would be if a virus were to wipe out a certain crop. We then would have a back-up of the crop to replenish the loss.
But as for a nuclear war, this would not be not be viable. the survivors would have not way to travel to the location IF they new the location that is.
I saw this ont he news the other day and I thought to myself. They don't know anything? The Upper Goverments are preparing. Scientists are preparing. Whether it is the pole theory or global warming or a small ice age, the necessary steps to survive are being put in action. As far as survivors and how will they know the vault exist. Our governments for multiple reasons have been shelters capable of living in for long periods of time. It will be scientists, doctors, artists, astronomers, government officals. The rest of us will scrape by if at all.

This link leads to a story by a whistleblower, a Norwegian politician, who claims there's much much more than this vault. In fact, there are facilities for 2,000,000 people being fashioned.
Norway must be one of the few safe havens in Europe after 2012. The vault is probably only public because they want all the help they can get in collecting valuable seeds, even from those not 'in the know'.
If you read some more on project camelot you will find out that whistleblowers from all over the world are talking about underground bases that some of their population will live in and that the rest will die where they live, and some will probably survive. And Norway is no safe haven, that I can say, Im Norwegian myself and there are alot of hidden stuff going on here not. The police agentcies are threatening those who know to much of this and are also breaking in to their homes and stuff, so Norway is not safe at all. When it comes to the seed vault on Svalbard so yes they are preparing for something big since some of the old valuts were in countries like Holland and England, countries that probably will be gone if something big will go down. So read as much as you can about this stuff, it makes you a bit crazy and scared but it will make you prepared for what is coming.
I was hoping to find out all of the different TYPES of seeds they're gathering... Honestly... whether a global catastrophy happens or not... and whether I, myself, survive or not... the truth is, MOST tree seeds will be fairly useless to the cause. If you consider how long it takes for a tree to reach adulthood, they will be entirely "obsolete" for lack of a better word. The only true way to continue a possibility of life as we know it, would be cannibus, (Marijuana, weed, pot, etc.) NOT for the purpose of SMOKING (morons, yes it's good, but not what I believe it is here for). Hemp has already proven itself to be a HUGELY diverse substance, having uses anywhere from chewing, (subsiding hunger) to parchment, even as much as clothing, and tools. Not only does it have MANY uses, it also doesn't take long to grow.
For God's sake, if the government is SO upset with it being smoked (which I truly don't understand, because... who-the-hell's business is it of yours) then try growing it with an inhibitor to try lowering or eliminating the THC values in it. But personally, I figure, If I so CHOOSE to use this plant, how am I harming anyone other than myself, which I still haven't found it to be a harm to myself, other than the obvious laziness, elevated mood, and increased hunger... And if you so dare to use this as an excuse, after smoking it, people tend to have a scent about them that makes the act of smoking fairly apperent. But all-in-all, if you are SO "addicted" to THC people know it is IN the body and people have an allergic reaction to it, (which is WHY people get "high") so just like every other "drug"-like substance, someone will find a way to get it out of the body or increase the bodies' ability to create it, thus getting them "high". So, I guess what I'm TRULY getting at, would be, if anyone that gets to this blog and has a link or any knowledge of what kinds of seeds they are picking and choosing for this "Doomsday" Seed Vault, please e-mail me with whatever information you may have. ALSO, if you have ANY information as to HOW to get in contact with the people in direction of what seeds are being chosen and will be chosen, I would do anything in my power to get ~HEMP~ as it is or as it CAN be, as long as removing THC doesn't weaken the usefulness of the plant, is INCLUDED in the seeds chosen. It may very well be one thing CHOSEN by someone... or something, (if you know where I'm going with this) to increase possibility of survival on this planet if it is deemed possible. Again, I'd appreciate any help in either of these two goals, and hope to have a few e-mails in the days to come. Thanks for reading and thanks for anything you've got to say, whether it be agreeing or disagreeing with me, because I love to see things from other people's points of view and have new options of possibilities that can occur or could explain.
