Survivalists in Florida

May 19, 2012 – 11:49 pm | One Comment

Great article in the Miami New Times last week, profiling preppers and survivalists like these folk:
Jorge Villa – after a terrifying experience during Hurricane Andrew he devised his own bunkers, and sells them to folk – some of whom are worried about the end of the Mayan calendar – via his business U.S. Bunkers
Neal Wiseman – moderates a group called the South Florida Survivalist Network, and has a year’s worth of food stored for his family, should the need arise:

Chris Petrovich – prepper for 25 years. He has helped others “cache extra fuel and food, stashed in public-storage units and underground, at intervals on an 800-to-1,200-mile path out of Florida. Amid darkness and chaos, skirting burning sugarcane fields and accidents and roadblocks, they’ll drive from cache to cache toward a secret inland hiding spot, exhausting the last available remnants of the petroleum age.”
While Petrovich himself plans on staying, I agree with …

Tokyo’s Secret City

Tokyo’s Secret City

Here’s a case of me wishing I knew Japanese… ever since that TV series “Beauty & The Beast” starring Linda Hamilton & Ron Perlman, I’ve been interested in underground cities & networks – primarily from a “why” viewpoint.
The Japanese author has seemingly found enough evidence to prove that the Tokyo subway is far more expansive than is officially acknowledged, but the “why” he has not solved. Same goes for London & NY.
My best guess is that, like Washington DC & Paris, the design of the underground railways was affected by Masonic influences (which would explain the secrecy) and they are somehow related to survivalism. If this could be proved, then we might find new reasons to pay attention to the historical deeds of the Masons

How not to survive 2012

How not to survive 2012

Part of the motivation behind Survive 2012 is to promote serious, heavy survivalism, not keeping a few spare cans of spaghetti on hand…
The City of Sydney government takes the more simplistic viewpoint, but even so has been criticised for scaremongering.
Where should you head if there are building fires, hazardous materials incidents, power or water failures, rail disruptions, serious road problems or a terrorist incident….. a big park
What emergency supplies should you have ready? A “Go Bag” containing:
* Key personal information for your family members or partner, including identification such as passports or a driver’s licence. * A bottle of water for each family or household member. * Torch with spare batteries. * Battery-operated, portable AM/FM radio and extra batteries (check shelf life). * Appropriate clothing. In winter, you might need jumpers; in summer, …

Recycling Old Genes

Recycling Old Genes

In a remarkable display of recycling, the world’s first land animals reused ancestral fish fin genes to make arms and legs, wrists and ankles, fingers and toes.
Researchers have found that when animals first came out of the water, and grew legs, that is was not a case of rapid evolution of complex structures, but rather a recycling & re-purposing of old structures that already exist in the DNA.
To me this says that any mutations that may arise in a future cataclysm are unlikely to be radically new, but rather variations on the past. So physically humans are unlikely to be structurally different. But they could change dramatically in overall size, or the size of individual components – we could end up being 4 feet tall, but with ears 3 times larger than now. Our senses could become more or less keen. Our skin could become more or less hairy, or …

Water from Air – Might be good for survival

Water from Air – Might be good for survival

…a four-sided structure shaped like an inverted pyramid, with each panel about 3 metres tall.
At night, dew drops bead up on both the tops and undersides of the panels. Because the dew collecting on top may contain dust, dirt or insects, that water could be used for irrigation. But dew from the underside is drinkable.
Gravity draws the drops downward into tanks, wells or bottles at the bottom.
A 96 square metre structure can extract a minimum of 48 litres of fresh water daily. But the dimensions can vary, says Cory, from a small personal unit that fills a water glass to several large-scale units that provide water for a community.
The low-tech approach requires only low-cost materials and is quick and easy to deploy, says Cory.

The Damage the Sun may do…

We might not even need a poleshift/supernova/Niburu etc for their to be a major calamity in 2012. It could just be the result of out Sun having a bad day. A recent article sums up some genuine facts nicely – quotes are from Doug Biesecker is a physicist in the NOAA’s Space Environment Center (SEC).
About $2 billion in damage to existing satellites occurred during the sunspot cycle from 1996 to 2005.
The solar activity “we’re really worried about,” according to Lister, is a massive coronal ejection event. It’s a literal once-in-a-century solar super storm. In a coronal ejection event, the sun erupts massive qualities of super-heated plasma and material from its surface at speeds approaching 100 million kilometers per hour.
The benchmark solar super storm took place in 1859 where in some cases telegraph wires exploded off poles or caught fire. The aurora borealis was seen regularly as far south as …

Someone has gone and built an ark!

Although it is only half the length of the biblical ark, it is otherwise as correct as it can be, including life-size models of giraffes, elephants, lions, crocodiles, zebras and bison. Amazingly it took one man less than 2 years to build – I guess the locals would be calling him “Noah”.

DNA Hope – Baby Mammoth Found

A baby mammoth has been discovered in the permafrost of north-west Siberia – and it could turn out to be the best preserved specimen of its type.
The six-month-old female mammoth was discovered on Russia’s Yamal peninsula, and died in the cataclysm of 10,000 years ago.
The animal’s trunk and eyes are still intact and some of its fur remains on the body.
Scientists have been saying “find us some viable DNA, and we’ll create a living mammoth” – so finally this might be achievable. Of course once they create one, it better grow to a huge size, or else the public will just see another elephant.

Pink Dolphin

There seems to be many doom & gloom “prophecies” that mention uncommonly colored animals making an appearance. I’m not aware of any that speak of albino dolphins, but one has been spotted in an estuary in southwestern Louisiana. Story here. More pics here

Megalithic Google Earth

The best book on UK megaliths & stone circles is The Modern Antiquarian by Julian Cope (who just happens to be one of my favourite musical acts…wish he would tour Australia…)
Now he has provided a plugin for Google Earth that lets you see these ancient curiousities from your computer chair, giving them a brand-new 3D perspective. Follow the link to see screenshots!

Pastor Harry & the 2012 Comet

Pastor Harry & the 2012 Comet

(Almost sounds like a Harry Potter book title….)
Pastor Harry, over at his cheerfully named site SatansRapture.com, predicts a comet will hit/graze Earth in 2012 because:
1) Planetoid Sedna is the culprit (even though there’s nothing scientific to suggest that it could be, and ZetaTalk considers it to be a red herring…)
2) NASA’s Deep Impact was a practise run for destroying Sedna (although it’s more likely NASA just wanted to look inside a comet, like scientists would).
3) Prophecy from the ancient Maya, Catholic church, Bible & Nostradamus
Further exploration of his ramblings led me to learn the name Satan will use when be makes himself known (sometime soon!).

I present for your amusement…

Jeliala Starr has the unfortunate responsibility of convincing our planet that we all need to is, erm, “ascend” a little – at which stage the Nibiruan Council will decloak their giant planet/spacecraft and give us a visit, and helps us ascend the whole way to 3D!
Nibiru is in our solar system and headed towards earth on its routine run through our galaxy. That is why we are feeling its effects. NASA and other governmental groups know this very well. Nibiru was first spotted by our scientists back in 1987. We have been feeling its effects since 1996.
As for when it will return, I will state again that it is up to us. Nibiru is waiting on us to get our heads out of the sand, so to speak, and accept that we are not alone in the universe. When enough people have reached this level of understanding, Nibiru will uncloak …
