Some Cosmic Ray ----> Extinction Evidence
Cosmic rays produced at the edge of our galaxy have devastated life on Earth every 62 million years, researchers say.I'd say the point here is not the period and regularity of the cosmic ray intrusion, but rather that, given enough intensity, cosmic rays can destroy life on Eath...
The finding suggests that biodiversity has been strongly influenced by the motion of the solar system through the Milky Way and of the galaxy's movement through intergalactic space.

I also thought about buying one, but then I realised that Russians/Chinese may have not updated their ICBM target databases. So if there would be WW3 in 2012 I'd be one of the first to evaporate in nuke explosion.
In "Apocalypse 2012", Lawrence Joseph noted that we are about due for one of these periodic cosmic-ray induced mass extinctions, and gave a number of reasons why cosmic-ray intensity might soon increase, having to do with our solar system's entering into a denser part of the galaxy and the effects on the sun's and earth's magnetic fields.
