Survivalists in Florida

May 19, 2012 – 11:49 pm | One Comment

Great article in the Miami New Times last week, profiling preppers and survivalists like these folk:
Jorge Villa – after a terrifying experience during Hurricane Andrew he devised his own bunkers, and sells them to folk – some of whom are worried about the end of the Mayan calendar – via his business U.S. Bunkers
Neal Wiseman – moderates a group called the South Florida Survivalist Network, and has a year’s worth of food stored for his family, should the need arise:

Chris Petrovich – prepper for 25 years. He has helped others “cache extra fuel and food, stashed in public-storage units and underground, at intervals on an 800-to-1,200-mile path out of Florida. Amid darkness and chaos, skirting burning sugarcane fields and accidents and roadblocks, they’ll drive from cache to cache toward a secret inland hiding spot, exhausting the last available remnants of the petroleum age.”
While Petrovich himself plans on staying, I agree with …

Movie: Time of the Sixth Sun

Movie: Time of the Sixth Sun

It is coming out in 2008 (perhaps straight to DVD??) and features speakers like:
Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Credo Mutwa, Don Alverto Taxo, Maestro Tlakaelel, Lynne Franks, Dr.Maseru Emoto, HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Geoff Stray, Dr. Manjir Samanta-Laughton, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Carl Johan Calleman, Tom Kenyon, Carla Rueckert
It takes the spiritual/fluffy angle, 2012 will be a beautiful transformation if we are all nice to each other.
What tools do we need to progress in our spiritual evolution? And if we are the creators of our reality, what is our highest vision for the future? Rather than our downfall, is 2012 not our greatest epiphany?

Some Cosmic Ray —-> Extinction Evidence

Some Cosmic Ray —-> Extinction Evidence

Cosmic rays produced at the edge of our galaxy have devastated life on Earth every 62 million years, researchers say.
The finding suggests that biodiversity has been strongly influenced by the motion of the solar system through the Milky Way and of the galaxy’s movement through intergalactic space.
I’d say the point here is not the period and regularity of the cosmic ray intrusion, but rather that, given enough intensity, cosmic rays can destroy life on Eath…

Spend now, pay later (or in the case of 2012, never!)

Spend now, pay later (or in the case of 2012, never!)

A tongue in cheek article is suggesting that we throw common sense away, wreck our credit history, and spend big, big, big… because if everything ends in 2012 it won’t matter. I’ve recently had similar thoughts, as a means of buying a used missile silo in the US. The fact that I haven’t done so is evidence of me having no certainty of something bad happening in 2012 (yet).

First the bees, then us?

First the bees, then us?

Lots of sites are reporting that bees are disappearing, something like 40-60% in the US, with similar numbers in Europe. Many reports include a supposed quote from Albert Einstein – if the bees disappear, man would have only four years of life left.
The problem could be due to bees not liking mobile phones interfering with their navigational abilities…
This is of interest to 2012 folk, because if all the bees disappeared in late 2008, that would match Einstein’s prophecy with that of the ancient Mayans!

Internal Pyramid Ramp

Internal Pyramid Ramp

Now that nobody else is visiting the site, I managed to download and view the information at http://www.3ds.com/introduction/.
It is pretty much 90% gloss and 10% theory. Would have been much better (and more profitable) as a book, but they seem more intent on promoting 3ds.com.
On the face of it, the theory has great merit, probably the equal of the concrete theory, and I wouldn’t be surpised if a physical exam (or scan) found that the internal ramp exists – although it has almost certainly been filled with rubble.

Earth Lights = UFOs?

Earth Lights = UFOs?

I am a big, big fan of this theory….
When you look at a map of UFO sightings, more than should be statistically expected are along geological fault lines. To cut a long story short, earth tremors not only create lights in the sky, they also affected the minds of some of us, and those minds see the lights and interpret them as UFOs!
John Keel… came to the conclusion that UFOs were more likely to be “soft” lightforms than “hard” metallic craft. As early as the 1960s, he was associating their appearance with areas (“windows”) of geological faulting, earthquakes and geomagnetic anomaly. In France at about the same time, Ferdinand Lagarde was also noticing a significant correlation between reported UFOs and geological faulting.

Shifting Stonehenge Blocks – Easy Says One Man

This Michigan carpenter can’t demonstrate placing a lintel on top, but his accomplishments are awesome, and are more impressive than those documentaries about experts that have tried to recreate how the ancients did it.
