Peru: Thirteen Towers are a Solar Observatory

The 2,300-year-old structures, known as the Thirteen Towers, part of the Chankillo site in Peru, have been known for 100 years, but it has taken until now for someone to recognise their role as a simple solar observatory.
(looks like the back of a crocodile to me...)
Typically the experts are using words like ceremonial, ritual, cult & sun worship. I'd hate to see their analysis of our current culture with the same techniques and criteria applied.

I was in Peru this past year and noticed many ruins were claimed to be a fortress or just a scupture of sorts. When viewed from a more practical angle, they all seemed to be perfectly aligned. (or pretty close to it) My studies conclude that the ancients were so fluent with the heavens, they used it muli-functionaly in there design. Almost all Mayan ruins are littered with some sort of reference to heavenly events some how. We just need to open our minds a little more and take a look around and we will find all of the answers to our questions.
