Peru: Thirteen Towers are a Solar Observatory

The 2,300-year-old structures, known as the Thirteen Towers, part of the Chankillo site in Peru, have been known for 100 years, but it has taken until now for someone to recognise their role as a simple solar observatory.

(looks like the back of a crocodile to me…)

Typically the experts are using words like ceremonial, ritual, cult & sun worship. I’d hate to see their analysis of our current culture with the same techniques and criteria applied.
